OH...GOOD...LORD...

Everyone has those things that really piss them off especially on the road. I have a few but the main one is the turn signal.

It never ceases to amazing me the amount of people I see that don't use the turn signal at all...for those of you who don't know what that is, this post is dedicated to you.

When I was first learning how to drive, my dad (who also has a law enforcement background) taught me and made sure it was drilled into me the laws of the road and how to drive safe.

Do I still follow all the steps...plead the fifth on that one.

I learned how to drive in south South Florida, and those mothas have no idea what a turn signal is.

These are also the same people who turn on hazard lights not their head lights when its a light rain. I'm sure if they turn on their blinker, it would be in the wrong direction and they'd be sitting there like 'what's that clickin noise'.

So here's the deal, the turn signal should be used for just about everything. Remember its not for you (which is probably why some people don't use it). It's for the people around you. You know, the hundreds of people in thousands of dollars worth of 2 ton machinery that can still be anything from scratched to pulverized with you inside of it?

So when is it appropriate to use a turn signal:

  • Making left or right turns (obviously, but people still don't)

  • Coming off or on a highway

  • Indicating when you're about to park in a spot (Claim your spot bro)

  • When lanes merge

  • CHANGING LANES!!!

Not all of us are mind readers, we don't know what you are going to do with your life.

I'm sure there are more times when using the blinkers are necessary, but I think I covered the main ones. If I missed anything or if there is a story related that you want to share, remember to comment below and tell it to the world.

Stay safe on the road, my friends.

Amy
